About Ally Global Foundation

At Ally, we protect childhood.

Every day, in every country, sex traffickers find new ways to exploit people, on screens and in person.

One in three victims is a child.

When sex trafficking and exploitation try to take childhood away, we rally everyone, and everything needed to protect it.

Whether it’s research, prevention, aftercare or education—around the world or around the corner—we do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes.

Because every child deserves a childhood.

And every childhood deserves an ally.

Job Summary

As the Makwa Dodem Program Coordinator you will be responsible for championing the Makwa Dodem program development in Canada. You’re a highly motivated individual and enjoy managing projects. You believe in professionalism and integrity and are passionate about producing culturally rooted and trauma-informed creative resources. You understand that an ethical approach to storytelling is of the utmost importance and will work to ensure that every piece of communication is dignifying and honouring to survivors.

You understand the complexities of both international and domestic human trafficking and the importance of adapting your language and tone to match each unique audience. You are committed to the continual learning needed to be effective in this industry. You have a strong understanding of the ongoing impacts of colonization on Indigenous peoples in Canada, while also recognizing the importance of strength-based, community-led approaches.

You are committed to taking a community-led approach and understand the need for solutions that are centred on an Indigenous lens, moving towards a decolonial approach that respects and honours the strength already within communities. You’re a team player, and will work collaboratively with our Makwa Dodem Program Manager and the Makwa Dodem Regional Coordinators to help ensure that program materials are relevant, ethical, and consistent with Makwa Dodem’s values and community-led approach.

You bring creativity, attention to detail, and strong communication skills, and are energized by helping turn big ideas into practical tools that make a difference.
