AFS Fire & Safety specializes in supplying and servicing fire safety equipment in compliance with NFPA 10, Alberta, and National Fire Code regulations. We provide services for fire suppression systems in restaurants, industrial and paint booths, and also supply and maintain halotron (clean agent) fire extinguishers. Our offerings include Fire Hose Hydro-Testing, Back Flow Testing, as well as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety supplies.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fire Technician based in Calgary, AB. The Fire Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and servicing fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and other life safety equipment. Daily tasks include troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues, ensuring adherence to fire safety regulations, and providing exceptional service to clients. The role also involves maintaining detailed service records and collaborating with team members to uphold safety standards.

• Experience in Fire Extinguisher maintenance and servicing
• Knowledge of Life Safety and Fire Safety regulations and best practices
• Expertise in Fire Suppression Systems and their compliance with standards such as NFPA 17A and NFPA 96
• Strong Troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving equipment issues
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate service documentation
  
  Relevant certifications in fire safety or fire suppression systems (considered an asset)
• Physical capability to handle equipment and work in varying environments
