Journeyman Painter

Foremost has an immediate opening for a full- time Journeyman Painter located at our facility in Calgary, Alberta. As a Journeyman Painter, you will work with the Lead Hand, Charge Hand and Foremen to ensure continuous improvements and perform tasks relating to your classifications.

∙ Work without direction to all written and/or verbal instructions.

∙ Prepare and apply prime or finished coats of paint, (protective and decorative) to all parts of finished products and/or equipment.

∙ Operate brush or spray painting equipment as required and is responsible for proper storage and handling of all paints and painting supplies.

∙ Handle care and maintenance of all Company owned finishing and painting equipment and facilities.

∙ Assist less experienced personnel with work methods, work habits and performance.

∙ Perform other tasks related to his/her classification.

Qualifications:

∙ Must have certification from a recognized training facility, or has demonstrated the ability to meet the above requirements to the satisfaction of Management.

∙ Experience an asset

∙ Hand tools required

∙ Safety Training an asset, but will train as required
