Are you an HVAC expert looking for a dynamic, empowering workplace where every day brings a new challenge? Sunbelt Rentals is hiring an Industrial HVAC Road Mechanic to support our growing Power & HVAC division in Calgary
.

In this role, you’ll diagnose, maintain, and repair industrial chillers, large tonnage heaters, commercial/industrial air handling units, temporary climate-control systems
, and related equipment—working independently in the field to keep our customers running.

Our specialized HVAC fleet includes:

• Industrial and commercial chillers
• High-capacity heaters & hydronic heating systems
• Industrial air handling units (AHUs)
• Temporary cooling/heating units
• Power generation and pumping systems
• Supporting equipment (diesel engines, controls, electrical systems)

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on:
  • Industrial chillers (air-cooled & water-cooled)
  • Large-scale heaters, boilers & hydronic systems
  • Air handling units and ventilation equipment
  • Temporary and emergency HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues
• Complete preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and safety
• Work independently as a field technician across multiple customer sites
• Ensure all work meets safety, environmental, and regulatory standards

• HVAC Technician experience with industrial or commercial systems
• Experience with refrigeration cycles, compressors, VFDs, controls, and high-tonnage equipment
• Trade certification (Journeyperson HVAC/Refrigeration or equivalent) preferred
• Strong diagnostic skills in electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-based systems
• Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced field environment
• Valid driver’s license and personal hand tools

Experience with diesel-driven HVAC equipment, power generation, or pumps is an asset.
