Job Opportunity:Journeyman Carpenter
Calgary, AB | Full‑Time
Are you a Journeyman Carpenter who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality work, and likes seeing the results of your efforts every day? Edon is seeking a skilled Carpenter to support the maintenance and improvement of commercial facilities across Calgary.
This role goes beyond traditional construction—you’ll handle a mix of finished carpentry, repairs, and general maintenance while working directly with tenants and clients. If you enjoy working independently with strong team support, this is a great long–term opportunity.

- Perform rough and finished carpentry work, including fitting and installing trim, doors, stairs, moulding, hardware.
- Repair and refinish furniture.
- Perform finished carpentry for cabinets and other items.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and plans to complete work accurately.
- Carry out general maintenance tasks such as minor plumbing, painting, ceiling work, window/door installation.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks and keep accurate records.
- Respond promptly to service requests and emergencies, including occasional after‑hours calls.
- Maintain positive client and tenant relations by providing professional, courteous, and efficient service.
- Carpenter Journeyman certificate.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in facility operations or carpentry/maintenance.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment under pressure, and solve problems quickly.
- Ability to read and apply technical plans.
- Physically fit: able to crouch, kneel, lift 25+ kg, and perform hands‑on tasks for extended periods.
- Must own a full set of carpentry tools (e.g., belt sander, hammer drill, table saw, skill saw).
