The Labourer is expected to be engaged in our safety program, execute work in a safe manner, and follow CANA policies and all applicable regulations.

• The work requires commuting to and from the job site daily
• The position requires physically demanding motions and tasks
• Candidates are required to be in good physical condition, fit for work and prepared to work on project sites outside in all seasons and weather

• Assist carpenters and perform housekeeping duties and material management.
• Familiar with general carpentry such as framing, hoarding, installation of doors and frames.
• Set up and manage site equipment such as heaters, generators and light towers.
• Conduct daily maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain a clean site and be familiar with safety concerns around an unclean environment
• Climb ladders and work from elevated heights.
• Flagging of traffic.
• Install hoarding and set up winter heat.
• Other duties as required.

• Previous construction experience an asset
• Previous flagging experience
• WHMIS/CSTS 20
• Valid flagger certification
