Position Summary

The Heavy Equipment PM Field Technician works with our PM Manager to respond to service calls at customer locations. At the job site they are primarily responsible for completing PM services and detailed checklists, diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment to help ensure optimal performance. This role involves working in the field and at client locations, addressing equipment issues promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete quality repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of equipment in and around Calgary.
• Perform preventive maintenance services as set out by checklists and identify possible failures before they lead to downtime.
• Conduct equipment diagnostics and communicate issues with customers and management.
• Maintain a professional, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
• Perform additional tasks as related to the position from time to time.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• 2nd, 3rd, 4th or Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician considered;
  Journeyman Automotive Technician also considered.
• Minimum 2 years construction equipment experience.
• Have a complete set of hand and air tools; specialty diagnostic equipment and large tools will be supplied.
• Physically fit and able to meet demands of heavy equipment field repairs.
• Knowledge of equipment, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostics.
• Able to read and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics for diagnostics.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Class 3 license an asset; training provided for successful candidate.
