Wesbell is seeking a Journeyman/woman Automotive Mechanic. This position is responsible for repairs and/or recommendations for the Wesbell ALBERTA fleet of trucks, trailers, and generators.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Completing required installations and repairs to a variety of trucks, SUV’s, trailers, canopies, caps, and generators based in Alberta.Sourcing replacement parts and equipment.If repairs cannot be completed in-house, oversee and make recommendations regarding quotes and estimates from licensed facilities.Assistance in reviewing and purchasing new vehicles, trailers, canopies, caps, etcAny other assigned and related tasks as directedEducation (Theoretical Training)
Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Technician, certified in Alberta or RED SEALJob Requirements & Experience
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified mechanic in Alberta.Must be able to read and follow schematics.Must be able to travel to Edmonton periodically to complete repairs on vehicles based out of the Edmonton facility.Must be willing to assist in viewing possible vehicles, trailers, or canopies for purchase.Take direction and implement tasks as distributed by Alberta Operations Manager or other Executive Management.Must be a self-starter able to work under minimal supervision.Maintain the highest degree of safety compliance above and beyond Wesbell’s health and safety policies.Must be a reliable worker with a good attendance record.Ability to work independently as well as work in a team setting.Must have a strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.Must have a working knowledge of computers and windows based programs.May be required to travel and work weekends and nights if required due to an emergency situation.
