As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new customers and developing existing accounts to increase truck sales and maintain overall customer satisfaction. Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining competent product knowledge of all current truck component specifications for products sold/leased at Calmont.
- Work with sales team lead to develop sales plans strategies, identify potential inventory sales and track progress.
- Developing new relationships and partnerships with prospective customers and businesses to introduce Calmont as a viable business option for their equipment needs.
- Contacting assigned accounts and offering assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership as well as any call-in customers.
- Understanding and meeting the customers’ specific needs in developing specifications that will provide a unit that meets their application and regulatory requirements, while maintaining our high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Negotiating the close of a sale with customers, receiving management approval, processing all required paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies and introducing customers to the Business Manager.
- Upon receiving management approval, completing LPO’s for service, parts and outside vendors. Introducing new customers to our Service and Parts Managers whenever possible.
- Delivering trucks to customers ensuring they understand the vehicles operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
- Following-up with and provide ongoing service to existing customers to ensure repeat and referral business.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a history of exceeding customer’s expectations.
- Prior outside selling or cold calling experience with a proven track record.
- Experience with heavy duty truck sales or truck equipment considered an asset.
