About the Role

As a Sales Account Manager
, you will champion the development of new business partnerships while strengthening existing relationships. Your work will support strategic decision‑making, market analysis, and community engagement—all with the goal of driving growth and achieving corporate sales objectives.

We’re looking for someone highly self‑motivated, proactive, and aligned with our core values—someone who brings integrity, professionalism, and passion to the role every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage large RFP responses, ensuring profitability, sustainability, and operational excellence.
  • Maintain and optimize CRM data to ensure the right messaging reaches the right contact at the right time.
  • Qualify and manage new leads within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Build strong customer relationships through calls, emails, video meetings, and onsite visits.
  • Schedule visits to review customer needs and identify new opportunities.
  • Process customer purchase orders and coordinate with Project Managers.
  • Open new accounts and provide tailored solutions to customer challenges.
  • Collaborate with QA and Management on joint sales calls.
  • Represent ABT at trade shows and industry conferences (as applicable).
  • Serve as the key liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring clarity on order status, pricing, and service.
  • Prepare sales and marketing reports and manage expense accounts.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records and contacts.
  • Participate in training and internal reviews to stay current on services and procedures.
  • Support our Quality Management System by completing required quality documentation.
  • Research emerging market and product opportunities and brief management regularly.
  • Track competitors and update market intelligence.
  • Provide consistent weekly communication and reporting to the General Manager.
  • Develop 90‑day strategic plans focusing on top accounts, projects, contacts, and events.
  • Manage your annual travel budget within corporate guidelines.
What You Bring
  • Comprehensive knowledge of oil & gas industry requirements, manufacturing, estimating, sales, and project management processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics (CRM).
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel domestically and internationally without restrictions.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently or remotely when required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic AutoCAD knowledge (asset).
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • At least 2 years of steel trades experience—blueprint reading, materials, and process knowledge.
  • 2–5 years of experience with Excel and Word.
