Base pay rangeCA $72,521.00/yr - CA$/yr
Job available in these locations:
Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
- Meet or exceed gross and net revenue targets.
- Managing General Agent (MGA) & Advisor relationship development and relationship management to enhance Green Shield product awareness and sales activity.
- Organize and execute Advisor education events (e.g., lunch & learn with CE credits; webinars; other).
- Collaboration with Account Manager(s) and Client Service Representative(s) on book management.
- Continual development of a network of quality advisors within our MGA block.
- Monitor the competitive marketplace and share internally.
- Ensure professional development and develop strong industry connections.
- Attendance at industry functions (e.g., CAILBA, Distribution Partner events).
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated by the opportunity to be a member of a growth‑oriented team. Candidates will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Five or more years of sales experience in the individual health, travel and affinity marketplace.
- Experience working with MGA’s and their distribution network.
- Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Track record of success in growing and maintaining a book of business.
- Extensive Sales, Marketing and Customer Service knowledge.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and oral).
- Proven ability to influence desired outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership and team building abilities.
- Superior organizational and time‑management skills including flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize tasks and set objectives.
- Superior analytical, problem‑solving skills and solution‑based selling skills.
- Results‑oriented exhibiting drive, determination, and initiative to meet objectives.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office software applications.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
- LLQP is a preferred qualification.
