The Opportunity
At Age Care, we’re passionate about creating vibrant communities where residents, families, and team members feel connected and cared for. As our Communications Advisor, you’ll play a key role in telling those stories by bringing to life the people, programs, and purpose that make Age Care special.
Reporting to the Vice President of Communications & Marketing, you will work closely with corporate and site leadership across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario providing strategic communications and marketing support that drives engagement, strengthens our brand, and celebrates the great work happening in our communities every day.
What You’ll DoCollaborate with site and regional leaders to identify opportunities to boost brand awareness, occupancy, recruitment, and revenue growth.
Keep current on regional health authority and provincial updates, ensuring accurate, timely communication at the site level.
Capture and share on‑site activities, good news stories, and events that highlight our people, programs, and values.
Write, design, and proof materials from newsletters and community updates to videos, social posts, and printed materials that inform, inspire, and align with the Age Care brand.
Partner with Human Resources and site teams to ensure consistent, effective communication strategies across regions.
Support crisis and issues communication as needed to maintain transparency and trust.
Maintain and evolve brand standards to ensure consistent messaging, tone, and visual identity across all platforms.
Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a communications or marketing role.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail and design.
Experience managing large events including content and logistics.
Experience with content management systems, email marketing tools, and social media marketing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
Photography and video editing experience are strong assets.
