Key Responsibilities
Lead and continuously improve AME’s QA/QC framework for mechanical engineering delivery.
Define and implement quality requirements across all project phases (SD, DD, CD, CA).
Establish clear, practical standards for design reviews, peer reviews, calculation verification, drawing reviews, and documentation practices.
Conduct risk‑based quality reviews to identify trends, gaps, and systemic issues, and support corrective actions.
Maintain and evolve the firm’s engineering standards framework, including design guides, specifications, templates, and technical resources.
Ensure alignment with current codes, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards, including oversight of the Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP).
Collaborate with Technical Leads, project teams, and the BIM Manager to promote consistent application of standards and quality processes.
Monitor high‑risk or complex projects to strengthen quality systems and reduce rework and RFIs.
Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Facilitate QA/QC debriefs, technical post‑mortems, and quality‑focused knowledge sharing.
Promote consistent review and documentation expectations and firm‑wide quality awareness.

Strong facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills.
Analytical approach to identifying systemic quality and delivery issues.
Strong documentation, process discipline, and attention to detail.
Sound judgment in identifying issues requiring review or escalation.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and conflicting priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Licensee Engineering (P.L.Eng.) registered and in good standing in either BC or Alberta.
Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering consulting experience.
Demonstrated experience in QA/QC systems, technical review, and professional practice.
Strong understanding of codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
