Charge Nurse – Calgary (City Centre / Calgary Tower), Alberta, Canada

As a Charge Nurse, you will take on a leadership role within the nursing team, overseeing daily operations and ensuring high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure optimal patient care.
- Oversee patient assignments and ensure that care is delivered effectively and efficiently, addressing any issues that arise.
- Conduct assessments, monitor patient conditions, and make clinical decisions to enhance patient outcomes.
- Facilitate communication between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, adhering to protocols and standards to maintain high-quality care.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Act as a first responder to any emergencies within the unit, implementing appropriate interventions as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, assessments, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
