Summary

The Volunteer & Youth Management Executive is responsible for recruiting, developing, coordinating, and retaining volunteers and youth leaders to support the organization’s programmes and community initiatives. The role focuses on building a strong, values-driven volunteer ecosystem while nurturing youth engagement, leadership, and ownership in community service.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, onboard, and deploy volunteers for programmes, events, and outreach activities
  • Maintain an updated volunteer database, schedules, and attendance records
  • Design and conduct volunteer orientations, briefings, and basic training sessions
  • Plan, coordinate, and support youth-centric programmes, leadership initiatives, and service-learning projects
  • Identify and groom potential volunteer / youth leaders and committee members
  • Work closely with mentors, facilitators, and partner organizations
  • Participate in community events, awareness programs and engagement efforts
  • Recruit, orientate, and support volunteer / youth leaders
  • Support the planning and execution of volunteer and youth-led events and activities
  • Coordinate logistics such as manpower deployment, registrations, and communications
  • Liaise with internal departments, community partners, schools, and youth organizations
  • Prepare simple reports on volunteer participation, youth engagement, and programme outcomes
  • Track volunteer hours and contributions for reporting and recognition purposes
Secondary Duties
  • Promote and support innovative and creative ways to generate income including fundraising initiatives and external funding via grants and sponsorship to ensure the ongoing sustainability of the unit and projects
  • Provide support in District-based activities and initiatives
  • Provide support in mosque event’s operations and manpower requirements
  • Provide support in department’s collective initiatives, implementations and recommend plans for improvement
Requirements
  • Diploma in Youth / Social Work or a related field, or 2-years of working experience with Youth
  • Possess leadership skills, excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills and can work independently
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of community development principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital engagement strategies
  • Passion for community building and making a positive impact
