Location: CanmoreRole Responsibilities
The Partnerships Coordinator plays a key role in supporting collaboration among non profit organizations, First Nation communities, recreational leaseholders, commercial and tourism partners, and other multi stakeholder groups within the Kananaskis Region. The position enhances stewardship, sustainable use, and visitor experience across Alberta Parks by fostering meaningful relationships, reducing barriers to collaboration, and enabling partners to contribute to shared outcomes.
The role leads the development of partnership frameworks, supports staff engagement with partner organizations, coordinates the review and authorization of partnership initiatives, and promotes inclusion, accessibility, and reconciliation focused engagement with Indigenous communities. Success in this role requires strong facilitation skills, the ability to build trust, and a commitment to advancing parks based volunteerism, partnership programs, and multi stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities include:
Leading the development and implementation of an operational framework for effective partner engagement.Building and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external partners, including non profits, First Nation communities, recreational and commercial partners, and tourism organizations.Supporting stewardship activities, partnership programs, and volunteer driven initiatives that align with Alberta Parks’ mandate.Supporting collaboration, inclusion, accessibility, and reconciliation through training, community engagement, and culturally aware practices.Contributing to strategic and operational priorities, including reporting, committee participation, and emergency response support.Promoting collaborative engagement and meaningful partner recognition across the region.Please to view the job description.
