The Opportunity:

The Grants and Corporate Partnerships Officer plays a key role in advancing Calgary Meals on Wheels’ financial sustainability and funder relationships. This position merges grant research and writing with strategic corporate partnership development, ensuring alignment between fundraising goals and our mission to nourish Calgarians in need. Reporting to the Resource Development Manager and guided by the organization’s Fund Development and Corporate Fundraising strategies, this role is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding grant funders and corporate sponsors.

The Officer manages the full grant lifecycle and builds meaningful corporate relationships that generate revenue, sponsorship support, and community engagement opportunities. This role is revenue‑focused and accountable for contributing to annual fund development targets through disciplined pipeline management, timely submissions, proactive outreach, and strong stewardship practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research, write, and submit compelling grant applications and funding proposals.
  • Manage reporting, stewardship, and compliance for secured funding.
  • Monitor grant cycles and identify new funding opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate donor and funder records in the CRM.
  • Corporate Partnerships & Sponsor ships
  • Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with corporate partners and sponsors.
  • Develop tailored funding requests and sponsorship proposals.
  • Align funder CSR and ESG priorities with our mission.
  • Secure and conduct solicitation meetings, presentations, and facility tours.
  • Support community fundraising activations, third‑party events, and cause marketing initiatives.
  • Represent Calgary Meals on Wheels at events and partner meetings.
  • Fund Development Strategy & Stewardship
  • Contribute to annual Fund Development Strategy and revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute stewardship plans and impact reporting.
  • Track and report on pipeline and outreach activities and outcomes monthly.
Education,

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Post‑secondary education in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, corporate engagement, or nonprofit development.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and proposal development skills.
  • Experience cultivating donors and corporate relationships.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with CRM databases and fundraising reporting.
  • Knowledge of the Calgary philanthropic landscape is an asset.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s licence, a clean driving abstract, and reliable transportation are required.
  • A police background check, including a vulnerable sector screening, will also be conducted for the successful candidate.
