As our Social Media Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of shaping how ATCO connects with audiences, inspires engagement, and builds lasting relationships across our communities.
In this role, you’ll spark meaningful interactions and amplify our brand voice. Your keen eye for social media trends will help you recommend innovative ways to boost engagement and awareness, while your creativity will shine as you plan, craft, and organize compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences and showcases ATCO’s values.
You’ll work side‑by‑side with talented colleagues and partners, driving strategic marketing initiatives and supporting business goals. You’ll dive into analytics, share insights, and celebrate wins as you help us continuously improve our impact. What You Get to Do- Social Media Management
- Contribute to ATCO’s corporate social media accounts and program
- Create timely and top‑of‑class content and processes
- Monitor, listen, and respond to online conversations, ensuring a consistent brand voice
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders on content and best practices
- Analyze reporting, communicating learnings and results
- Develop department presentations
- Develop and maintain the corporate marketing calendar
- Work with division leads to incorporate ATCO content on the calendar
- Support marketing campaigns across all channels
- Work with agency partners in content development and production
- Advise media buying, promotion and best practices
- Travel to ATCO destinations to support content development
- Post‑secondary in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or relevant program
- 2+ years experience managing corporate social media channels, including content creation for platforms like Linked In, X, Facebook, Instagram, and You Tube
- Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Proficiency with content management systems, reporting tools, and analytics
- Demonstrated knowledge of communications principles in a corporate setting, with experience writing for web and social media
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills, with a collaborative and client‑focused mindset
- Ability to build positive relationships within the corporate office and across ATCO companies, exercising discretion, judgment, diplomacy, and confidentiality
- Experience developing comprehensive communications strategies to support business goals
- Willingness to travel 10–20 days annually
- Sprout Social experience, knowledge of the energy or utilities sector, and French language skills are considered assets
