HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview &
Key Responsibilities )
We are seeking a hands‑on Site / Manufacturing Manager to lead daily operations at a small manufacturing site ( 6 employees) . This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined , comfortable working on the floor and in the office , and enjoys being directly involved in day‑to‑day operations.
This is not a desk‑only role — you will be hands‑on with equipment, people, and processes , while also handling reporting, planning, and coordination.
Oversee daily plant operations, production schedules, and workflow
Work hands‑on on the production floor to support troubleshooting, changeovers, and continuous improvement
Manage and support a small team (production and maintenance)
Coordinate manufacturing, maintenance, shipping, and inventory
Ensure equipment is operating efficiently; coordinate repairs, maintenance, and upgrades
Drive efficiency improvements, cost control, and waste reduction
Maintain product quality standards and ensure all safety policies are followed
Prepare and maintain production reports, records, and basic administrative documentation
Manage site spending in line with budget and production volume
Hire, train, coach, and evaluate employees as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Qualifications)
Strong mechanical aptitude — comfortable with machines, tools, and basic troubleshooting
Proven experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment
Hands‑on leadership style — leads by example and is present on the floor
Ability to balance operations, people management, and administrative tasks
Solid computer skills (production reports, email, basic systems)
Knowledge of safety regulations and manufacturing best practices
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART (Competencies)
Technical diploma, engineering background, or equivalent hands‑on experience
5+ years in manufacturing / production environments preferred
Prior experience supervising or leading small teams is an asset
