Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Shop Hand / Machine Operator where you will work in a vibrant shop environment focusing on HVAC-related parts. You will be responsible for fabricating components such as ductwork, connectors, and custom parts using sheet metal. This role involves machine operation, assembly, and the use of hand or power tools.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate HVAC-related parts from sheet metal.
• Operate machines including press brakes and shears.
• Assemble components using hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Measure materials accurately using tape measures.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of fabrication or production experience.
• Experience with press brake and shear machines.
• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to use basic tools such as snips, folding pliers, and tinners hammer.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with lock formers is a plus.
• Installation experience is beneficial if combined with shop experience.

Work Environment

This transit-accessible position offers two shifts:
Day Shift from Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, and Afternoon Shift from Monday to Friday, 11pm to 7:30pm. Flexibility to work both shifts is required, starting with the day shift and transitioning to afternoons. The team consists of 12 individuals, with many having over 10 years of experience at the company. Overtime is available after 40 hours per week, although it is not guaranteed during the contract period.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Calgary,AB.
