Production Supervisor

We require a responsible, experienced Production Supervisor for our Calgary Plastics Plant. The Supervisor will be responsible for all areas of manufacturing on the shift ensuring that standards are achieved in safety, quality, productivity, and waste.

Qualifications:

• Technical degree/diploma, and minimum 2 years’ experience in a Production Supervisor role in a manufacturing environment (3-5 years preferred)

• Or equivalent;
High School Diploma or GED, and 7-10 years’ experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment

• Comfortable on the shop floor, utilizing your knowledge and skills to enhance quality and performance

• Experience in a unionized environment (preferred)

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; working with cross-functional teams

• Knowledgeable about health and safety legislation (OHS)

• Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, food safety procedures and experience in an MRP environment is a definite asset

• Ability to execute production schedules to meet KPIs, on-time performance, and cost effectiveness

• Problem solving and analytical skills to deal with production issues and mitigate risks

• Mathematical and numeracy

• Experience working with MS Office products (specifically MS Excel, Outlook)

Work Schedule

The facility operates on a continental shift basis; shift work and flexible work schedules will be required.
