The Plant Manager is an experienced and hands-on transformational leader who is capable of leading technological and cultural change to drive performance. This individual must have previous experience with plant performance turnaround in a complex technical manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for directing and coordinating all manufacturing activities at the facility in order to meet and exceed operational goals and objectives in the areas of safety, environmental compliance, employee relations, customer service, product quality, cost and productivity.
The plant currently has approximately 110+ employees.

YOU WILL BE:
Demonstrating values of integrity, humility, respect for others, teamwork and collaboration, accountability and performanceExperience with process safety management and creating a culture where all accidents are preventable, maintenance management systems and proactive maintenance practices.Highly developed leadership, change management, interpersonal, communication and people management skills to drive plant performanceMust be able to develop and coach managers and supervisors in a high performing environmentHas demonstrated the ability to initiate critical conversations and provide timely feedback as neededExperience in fostering and maintaining a positive and productive labor relations environment in a union environmentLeadership and manufacturing management experience in continuous improvement activities and driving results in safety, quality, service and productivityStrong skills in the areas of supply chain, production planning, scheduling, engineering, maintenance, management accounting, and project managementDevelopment and implementation of operational criteria to measure the achievement of plant objectives and efficienciesExperience with implementing systematic approaches to delivering and sustaining results. Track record of meeting deadlines, working independently, and practicing good organizational skillsOUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;
Possesses strong interpersonal skills, and effective leadership characteristics working with all employees, support resources, sales, suppliers, customers and the local communityStrong PC & software skills in Microsoft Office applicationsLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma expertise a definite assetBachelor of engineering degree (preference Mechanical engineering) with minimum 10 years plant manager experience or equivalentPotential for advancement to more senior roles in the organizationRecognizes the key actions necessary to achieve results, establishes and communicates the priorities to others, and maintains own and others focus on achieving the important goalsDemonstrates persistence in overcoming roadblocks to achieving results and encourages others to do the sameInterpersonal RelationsAnticipates outcomes of decisions and thinks ahead to effectively prioritize workload.
