Position OverviewJob Location: Calgary, Alberta
Wage: $19.25/hour with an additional $2/hr premium for lead hand and night shift premium (if applicable)
Shift: Flexible – any shift with overtime and weekend work as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness of facility through dry and wet cleaning based on Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and janitorial tasks.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns by cleaning spills and equipment to restore sanitation.
- Provide production support in response to production demands.
- Disassemble equipment for cleaning – capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Clean equipment using ladders, handling chemicals, and adhering to SSOPs.
- Use compressed air to remove particles from equipment.
- Collect and empty all garbage and waste; stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Use EAM to schedule and close work orders.
- Update and review SSOPs regularly with the Sanitation supervisor/manager.
- Review the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and coordinate with the supervisor/manager.
- Coordinate sanitation team members to ensure tasks are completed safely and effectively.
- Train sanitation team members on SSOPs and daily/weekly/monthly janitorial tasks.
- Maintain an inventory of sanitation items with the supervisor/manager.
- Perform any other duties assigned by direct supervisor/manager.
- Lover of bread and baked goods.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
- Prior sanitation experience, ideally industrial sanitation.
- Comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet cleanliness standards.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced environment, self‑reliant, and eager to learn and grow.
