The Service Manager (Wastewater Treatment) provides both tactical and strategic leadership to a team of field service professionals at a large, 24/7 operating site in Fort Saskatchewan. This role is accountable for talent attraction, retention, engagement, performance management, and employee development.
The Service Manager plays a key role in departmental leadership, contributing to budget development, managing expenses, and actively participating in workforce planning. This position is responsible for addressing and resolving employee relations matters and translating customer requirements into actionable workforce strategies and objectives.
Manager provides onsite visibility into KPIs and operational metrics, offers informed input to management, and demonstrates strong second‑level leadership capabilities. The Service Manager effectively applies all technical and operational standards, leverages region‑wide resources, and collaborates with stakeholders to drive successful outcomes for both customers and the business.
This role also ensures product, system, and water quality and is responsible for monitoring/maintaining appropriate inventory levels for complex or multiple sites. Position will be Hybrid until the customer plant is commissioned, then transition to Onsite.

- Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)
- Industrial or commercial process water experience required - Water Treatment Plant Experience (Preferred)
- 5 to 7 years of technical work experience or 3 years of industry specific experience
- Combined with 3 years of leadership/management experience
- Clean driving record
- Proficiency with computers and business software, such as Microsoft Office, Skype, Oracle/SAP, cloud-based solutions
- People management - approximately 16 employees
- Ability to communicate up/down/across
- Ability to lead and motivate teams
- Demonstrates critical thinking and complex troubleshooting in order to guide and advise team members and customers
- Ability to defuse situations at a customer or internal issue
