We are seeking a highly organized, motivated and community focused professional to join our team as a Trades Careers Apprenticeship Coordinator
. This full-time role supports the delivery and growth of trades careers programming through grant writing and reporting, event planning, student support, and program coordination.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students entering apprenticeship pathways, coordinating, and assisting with funding and reporting requirements. This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: $65,000 - $68,000 per year

Key Responsibilities Leadership Support
  • Working with Director of Trades and CEO to identify and support program efficiencies and continuous improvement.
  • Take initiative on projects and follow through with minimal supervision.
  • Assist leadership with proactively identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities within programs and recommend practical solutions.
  • Prepare program reports, presentations, and internal documents. Ensure accuracy and compliance with funder requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Trades to support program success.
  • Assist in researching, writing, and submitting grant applications to support program delivery.
  • Track program outcomes and maintain data required for reporting and evaluation.
Event Planning & Program Coordination
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events including graduations, career fairs, student recruitment seminars, and partner engagement events.
  • Manage event logistics including venue coordination, catering, materials, and vendor communication.
  • Work with the Trades Careers team to ensure programming runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to Trades Careers students.
  • Assist with student registration, documentation, and program tracking.
  • Liaise with training centres, schools, and industry partners as required.
  • Travel to training centres and capture media content for TEPF Media Team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Alberta as required
  • Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends
  • Experience in grant writing, reporting, or nonprofit administration considered an asset
  • Experience planning and managing events
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Experience supporting students or working in education, nonprofit, or trades-related environments considered an asset
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

This role requires a combination of office-based work, event coordination, and occasional travel to training centres, schools, and partner locations. The successful candidate must be adaptable, professional, and committed to supporting student success in the skilled trades.
