Who are you?
You are a client-side  Project Manager or Senior Project Manager  with at least  6 - 10 years post-graduate experience  looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment.

Please note this role can report out of our  Calgary  or  Edmonton  office.

Job Description

Provide overall leadership and direction on all things physical design related, fostering a collaborative work environment that aligns with the client's strategic objectives and values.

Oversee the design aspects of a diverse portfolio of construction projects, ensuring successful project delivery across corporate and retail spaces. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, ensuring alignment with business needs.

Manage tasks throughout the design, procurement, permitting, construction, handover, and close out process.

Ensure project compliance with client’s document controls and specifications.

Oversee procurement process of consultants and contractors to award.

Chairing and coordinating meetings; issuance of minutes and driving respective actions.

Undertake site visits to observe work progress and review work done.

Review project finances, oversee invoices and payment process, report project budget.

Prepare and issue client progress reports.

Administering project closeout and associated turnover documentation.

Manage and contribute to lessons learned workshops.

Facilitate transition of close-out to operations/facilities management.

Client Relationship Management

Work in partnership with clients, internal stakeholders and external stakeholders to build trusted relationships.

Balance the needs of different stakeholders.

Understand and contribute to the client’s strategy and goals.

Contributes to development of new business opportunities.

Team Work

Oversee and coordinate the activities of project team.

Have ability to effectively collaborate with others - team approach.

Lead by example and live our company values.

Be proactive and have a determination to find solutions.

Qualifications

A minimum of  6 years of experience  as a Project Manager supervising construction projects with progressive experience in  Design Management.

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a similar field.

Tenant Improvement (TI) and fit up project experience is desired.

PMP or CAPM is an asset.

Experience as  Owners Representative  is an asset.

Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Project or P6. Design Software e.g. AutoCAD, Revit.

Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
