The Opportunity (1-Year Contract Role)
We’re seeking a strategic and experienced senior facilities coordinator to oversee regional facilities operations and lead a team of coordinators. This 1‑year contract‑based position combines leadership, operational oversight, and continuous improvement to ensure high standards in service delivery, safety, and workplace functionality.

- Oversee, coach, and support Facilities Coordinators.
- Conduct performance reviews, on‑the‑job coaching, onboarding, and offboarding of team members.
- Apply a continuous‑improvement focus with a national mindset, developing benchmarks to improve results and efficiency.
- Establish high standards for the delivery of Facilities Management services.
- Create team capacity to develop and recommend processes that improve efficiency.
- Provide input to departmental leaders for policies, procedures, and strategies to improve operational efficiencies.
- Make independent decisions related to resources and tactics.
- Assist in the successful delivery of the FM Service Request platform.
- Work closely with Senior Facilities Administrator and Senior Regional Facilities Manager to support facilities management.
- Help design and implement office policies and procedures for proactive and scheduled maintenance.
- Attend joint health and safety committee meetings to coordinate corrective actions.
- Oversee inspection of building conditions, equipment, and recommend repairs and improvements.
- Manage and distribute ad‑hoc requests from the business and other team members.
- Act as liaison with building owners on day‑to‑day issues (e.g., elevators, fire drills).
- Manage security access systems and office assets.
- Assist in monitoring and managing costs to meet budget.
- Lead team during emergency situations and business‑impacting events requiring a BCP plan.
- Assist with corrective measures from audits and assessments to ensure compliance with HSE obligations.
- Work with the facilities team to maintain a tidy, safe, and functional working environment.
- Completion of a post‑secondary diploma related to the field is desirable or certifications.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with document formatting and production.
- Experience working with a large organization is desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to manage people effectively.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.

- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities.
