Job DescriptionParsons is looking for a talented Director of Indigenous Relations to join our team.
The Director of Indigenous Relations & Reconciliation will lead the development and implementation of Parsons company‑wide Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation Strategy — establishing a structured, measurable, and authentic approach that strengthens relationships with Indigenous communities, advances reconciliation, and positions the company for Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) certification through the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB).
This Director role will serve as the Champion and the lead in Parsons reconciliation efforts across all business lines, ensuring that commitments are embedded in operations, project delivery, procurement, and people practices. In addition, the Director will play a key role in supporting bid proposals by contributing strategic content, advice, guiding Indigenous engagement approaches and principles, and helping to ensure alignment with client expectations and reconciliation objectives.

The Director will be responsible for planning and implementation of initiatives that effect the entire Parsons organization. This includes direct influence over policy development, community engagement frameworks, procurement processes, and workforce initiatives.

- Lead the creation and implementation of a Corporate Reconciliation Action Plan with clear milestones and metrics.
- Establish governance frameworks for decision‑making, accountability, and transparent reporting.
- Advise the executive team on reconciliation‑related risks, opportunities, and policy alignment (e.g., UNDRIP, TRC Calls to Action, federal/provincial frameworks).
- Build annual work plans, budgets, and KPIs tied to organizational objectives.
- Develop and execute a strategy to achieve CCIB PAR certification, ensuring progress is authentic, measurable, and community‑validated.
- Ensure Indigenous engagement strategies align with federal government requirements, including PSIB and UNDRIP implementation, to strengthen Parsons’ competitiveness in securing government‑funded contracts.
