As the Team Lead Fuel Management Services, you will deliver consistent, safe, and high-quality fuel management services across the corporation. You will be responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations, resource management, inventory reconciliation, fuel deliveries, infrastructure support and issue resolution. You will also lead daily fuel management operations across all fueling sites, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant service delivery. Primary duties include:

  • Supervise and support frontline staff by providing direction, training, and performance oversight to maintain operational excellence, and promote a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused team culture.
  • Oversee fuel inventory management, system reconciliation (, M5/People Soft), and vendor coordination to ensure uninterrupted services and accurate reporting.
  • Monitor site performance and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards; lead incident investigations and support the development and implementation of corrective actions and mitigation strategies.
  • Provide operational leadership for infrastructure upgrades and technology implementations (, Island Control Units and monitoring systems) to modernize and enhance fuel service delivery.
  • Support the centralization of fuel management services across the corporation and lead the planning and execution of fuel-related projects and pilots (, renewable/biodiesel transitions) in alignment with Green Fleet Strategy and corporate sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate across internal teams, contractors, and corporate partners (Facilities, Supply Management, Finance, Climate & Environment) to drive efficiency, resolve operational issues, support site readiness, and maintain customer service standards.
  • Identify operational risks and continuous improvement opportunities, recommending process, training, and workflow enhancements to strengthen efficiency and service quality.
  • Qualifications
  • A completed 2-year diploma in business administration, operations management, supply chain, environmental sciences, engineering, or a related discipline and at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in operations, logistics, fleet, fuel services, utilities, or another relevant operational field, including at least 2 years with supervisory or team coordination responsibilities; OR
  • A degree in business administration, operations management, supply chain, environmental sciences, engineering, or a related discipline and at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in operations, logistics, fleet, fuel services, utilities, or another relevant operational field, including at least 2 years with supervisory or team coordination responsibilities.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits, and no current suspensions or charges pending.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • A Project Management Certification would be considered as an asset.
  • Experience using Asset Works (M5) and/or People Soft will also be an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as being able to multi-task in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers, service orientation and effective decision-making skills.
  • Working Conditions: Office environment with regular visits to fuel facilities sites. Fuel site visits may include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, odours and fuel vapours, slip/trip hazards, moving vehicles and equipment, and flammable or hazardous materials.
