OverviewThe Operations & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day operations across multiple distribution sites for Wilsonart Western Canada. This role ensures efficient, safe, and cost‑effective warehouse and logistics operations while driving consistency, performance, and continuous improvement across locations. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong operational discipline, people leadership skills, and a data‑driven mindset. The position will be located in our Calgary facility, working in person every day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperations & Logistics
- Oversee daily operations across multiple distribution locations, ensuring consistent processes and service levels
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, order fulfillment, and transportation coordination
- Ensure on‑time, accurate delivery of product to customers while optimizing labor and transportation costs
- Partner with supply chain, procurement, and vendors to ensure smooth material flow
- Lead, develop, and coach site supervisors and frontline leaders across locations
- Set clear performance expectations and hold teams accountable to safety, productivity, and service goals
- Support workforce planning, scheduling, and labor optimization
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations, company safety policies, and regulatory requirements
- Promote a strong safety culture and proactively address workplace hazards
- Maintain operational standards related to quality, inventory accuracy, and site cleanliness
- Monitor KPIs including productivity, cost, service levels, inventory accuracy, and safety metrics
- Identify gaps and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability
- Lead or support Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives across sites
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and expense control for assigned locations
- Review labor costs, overtime, and operating expenses; recommend corrective actions as needed
- Ensure accurate reporting and documentation across operations

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1yr experience may substitute for 1yr of degree.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or distribution management (multi‑site experience strongly preferred)
- Proven leadership experience managing supervisors and hourly teams
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation, and inventory management
- Experience working in a fast‑paced distribution or logistics environment
- Solid understanding of health & safety regulations (OH&S)
- Proficient in WMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
- Post‑secondary education in operations, supply chain, business, or related field
- Experience leading operational change or continuous improvement initiatives
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting in the same location of standing/walking; required to stoop, climb or lift light material (10-20lbs) or equipment.
ENVIRONMENT:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Examples: executive, management and support positions.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
At Wilsonart, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $135,000 - $150,000 base salary plus a variable bonus component based on facility and company performance.
