The RoleWe are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our leadership team. The AGM will support the General Manager in daily operations, staff development, guest relations, and maintaining high service standards that Rodney's is known for. This is a fast‑paced, leadership‑driven role requiring a balance of floor presence, administrative oversight, and team mentorship.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily restaurant operations in collaboration with the General Manager.
- Lead and support FOH floor managers and staff to deliver consistent, memorable guest experiences.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Monitor service standards, product quality, and adherence to company policies.
- Support scheduling, payroll, and labor cost management.
- Bi‑weekly inventory counts.
- Collaborate with the Events & Sales team to ensure smooth execution of private bookings and special events.
- Maintain a safe and respectful ensuring compliance with Alberta OHS and AGLC regulations.
- Act as a visible leader on the floor engaging with guests, problem‑solving, and motivating staff.
- 3 to 5 years of restaurant leadership experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of labor standards, food safety, and Alberta liquor regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy, high‑volume environment.
- A passion for hospitality and seafood (experience with oysters is an asset, but training is provided).
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Reliable and trustworthy.

Job Type: Full‑time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
