Executive Director
Good Companions 50 Plus Club is an activity, social, and learning centre for older adults, located in the community of Killarney. We are a not-for-profit organization which provides seniors’ programs and services in a safe and inclusive environment. We are looking to hire an Executive Director, starting February 1, 2026.
The Executive Director reports directly to the Board of Directors, and is responsible for the administration, programs, maintenance projects, and grant applications of the Club, in line with the organizational goals and values.
POSITION OVERVIEW· Budget Management, including the development of the Annual Operating Budget, oversee daily expenses & revenues, ensuring all financial records are up to date, and all legislative laws and policies are adhered to, and writing/submitting financial reports on time.
· Management and Supervision of staff, and day-to-day operations.
· Fundraising:
Apply for appropriate grants, and provide appropriate reports to granting bodies on time.
· Board of Directors:
Attend board meetings to report on operations and provide input on strategic goals, and report on the implementation of strategic priorities.
· Preparation and approval by Board of a three- to five-year Business Plan essential for strategic planning goals.
· Responsible for maintaining Rental Agreements, and acting as Landlord for renters.
· Oversee Programming and Marketing.

- Is familiar with office procedures, and is able to multi-task in a changing environment.
- Works well independently or collaboratively, as the situation demands.
- Is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Quickbooks, online collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams), and shared documentation platforms.
- Performs duties in a professional manner.
- Highly organized, proficient in data management, ability to prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Oversees and facilitates daily programs.
- Writing reports, and maintaining records.
- Knowledge of lease administration is an asset.
- Knowledge of contract administration is an asset.
- Is flexible to changing conditions, schedules, and demands.
- Must be fluent in English, and have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone. and via email.
- Comfortable presenting to groups.
- Has current First-Aid certificate.
- Understands and maintains confidentiality of information that is professionally acquired, including information received or observed about Staff, the Board, and Club Members.
- Clear a Police Information Check.
- Degree in Human Support Services, Recreation and Leisure preferred, or a combination of post-secondary education and experience.
- 3-4 years of experience administering programming for seniors.
- Experience working in a not-for-profit organization, and interacting with Board of Directors.
- Permanent full-time:
Tue-Fri, 9:00-4:00, 30 hrs/wk - Salary is commensurate with your experience
