FIFO Red Seal Automotive Service Technician- $47- $52/hr - Rankin/Arviat, NU

Full-time Permanent
Type:
Fly in - fly out (FIFO)
Rotating schedule: 6 weeks in / 3 weeks out (40-50 hrs/ week)
Hourly: $47 - $52 blended wage (based on experience)

Responsibilities
As a Red Seal Automotive Service Technician in Rankin Inlet or Arviat, NU, a normal day would include:
- Inspecting a wide range of vehicles, from quads and ATV's to cars, trucks, and heavy-duty Vehicles
- Diagnosing and uncovering both mechanical and electrical issues
- Conducting routine preventative maintenance to ensure functionality and longevity
- Road test vehicles as well as complete testing and adjustments to specifications
- Perform accurate parts and labor estimates
- Keep up-to-date logs of completed work orders, recorded issues, and work performed
- Using computer software to obtain quotes in the Manager's absence
- Handle requests for parts and coordinate issuing POs
- Provide excellent customer service
- Other duties as needed

Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Red Seal Certification with a minimum of 4 years of experience
- 5+ years of service shop diagnostics and corrective maintenance is a strong asset
- Dealership experience is an asset
- Strong critical thinking capabilities and resourcefullness
- Ability to be flexible and execute good judgment while working in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a professional and positive demeanor
- Valid drivers license and good driving record
- Must be able to physically lift up to 50lbs
