Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, the Environmental Services Assistant executes routine repairs and carries out minor maintenance operations with a focus on providing superior customer service to our residents.## Core Outcomes
* Completing minor repair work, which includes repairing doors, locks, window screens and blinds, as well as replacing light bulbs, sockets, and switches.
* Performing basic plumbing tasks, which includes unclogging drains as well as fixing leaking faucets and toilets.
* Patching, painting, and caulking.
* Performing regular cleaning duties, which includes sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
* Maintaining all outdoor areas as well as shoveling snow and ice as required.
* Taking inventory of maintenance supplies and notifying the Supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
* Promptly responding to requests for emergency repairs and clean-ups.
* Ensuring that all maintenance equipment is in good working order.# Qualifications
** Education
* ** High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
* Knowledge in Joint Occupational Health and Safety regulations aligned with WCB and CCAL Act.
* Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or willing to obtain one.
