AGAT Laboratories, a leader in laboratory science and innovation, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily facility operations in Calgary, Alberta.

What You Will Be Doing- Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and the complete and thorough clean‑up of the painting or repair area.
- Maintain and store equipment in a safe and orderly manner.
- Perform preventive maintenance where required and keep all records.
- Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing, and electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, and replacement of electrical switches and outlets.
- Respond quickly and responsibly to return the building to its normal operating status and inform Management of any emergencies.
- Ensure own safety and the safety of co‑workers by following all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
- Install and maintain a wide range of machinery as directed by Operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Emphasis in Technical Trades with two or more years’ experience in a Technical Trade.
- Two years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician.
- Operator Certificate or equivalent trade experience.
- Must hold a valid Alberta Driver’s Licence.
- Forklift and Manlift experience is a definite asset.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 22 kg.
