Our Underwriters customize solutions for our commercial clients when they need insurance products to cover large, commercial technical risks. They work closely with our Risk Services and Claims departments to get a holistic picture of each risk and make Underwriting decisions that make sense for all parties. They are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and love utilizing their strong technical skills to ensure that risks are assessed properly.

They are experts in their field and passionate about servicing our brokers – this means emails and phone calls don’t go unanswered, and broker meetings are regularly scheduled into their calendars.

• Underwriting
• Executing renewal rates and exposure, retention, and rate adequacy guidelines
• Analyzing new business for risk profitability
• Monitoring trends and developments, identifying areas of concern regarding loss ratio
• Building relationships

• 3+ years of complex property and casualty Underwriting experience
• Completed, or pursuing your CIP designation
• Strong customer service background
• Experience with package / multi-line underwriting
• Experience with cross border and layered business an asset
• Team-first mentality
