An employee in the position of Risk Technician provides support to the account service team. In all cases, decisions regarding the account will be made by the Account Lead or the Risk Advisor and the Risk Technician should consult these individuals before any discussion with a client. In this role the employee assists the account service team in all functions required to provide excellent customer service to assigned clients.
Responsibilities- Behave at all times in accordance with Navacord’s Core Values.
- Demonstrate knowledge and confidence in all dealings with clients and respond to clients’ needs
- File all appropriate items in the client drive
- Participate in client meetings and group presentations
- Take notes and share with service team for all meetings
- Schedule Internal Renewal Marketing Strategy Meeting and take notes
- Assist Risk Advisor or Account Lead in contract analysis
- File and review all quotations for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare quotation comparison presentation under the direction of the service team
- Request binding instructions from the client and issues binding instructions to underwriters at the direction of the service team
- Create Corporate Insurance Portfolio (CIP) for service team approval promptly after renewal
- Request adjustment information from client and review details with support of the service team
- Collect and review all policy documents for accuracy
- Send policy documents to client within 60 days of renewal
- Perform other duties as required
- A minimum Level 1 Alberta Insurance License, or to obtain such within 3 months.
- 1 + years experience in the insurance industry
- Drive and self motivation
- Passion for learning
- Experience in Auto, Property, Liability, Directors and Officers, Errors and Omissions are all helpful
- The Broker’s Workstation an asset
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working towards, or completion of, CIP or CAIB designation
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
