Salary range: 94, per year. Annual bonus target based on the base salary with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance). 12% payout.

About the RoleUnderwriting within Intact Specialty Solutions providing innovative solutions across a wide range of specialty insurance products. Join our Renewable Energy team for a global impact.
Responsibilities- Accept, reject, endorse, renew or cancel policies following Intact underwriting guidelines, applicable laws, and regulations.
- Develop business opportunities and long‑term relationships with broker partners.
- Use negotiating skills to maintain healthy relationships within and outside the company.
- Answer inquiries and make recommendations to brokers and underwriters through verbal and written correspondence.
- Participate in broker visits, industry functions, and marketing events.
- Review underwriting reports and provide recommendations.
- Communicate changes related to product pricing, underwriting guidelines and new products.
- Support and mentor team members within Specialty Solutions and other divisions at Intact.
- Post‑secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years underwriting experience in specialty lines or mid‑to‑large‑market commercial lines, and 1‑2 years in energy underwriting.
- Experience in renewable energy underwriting is an asset.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Initiative, ability to work under pressure, and flexibility to change.
- Strong analytical, negotiating skills, and business savvy.
- Can develop and maintain excellent relationships with brokers.
- Ability to make timely decisions, address complex problems, provide recommended actions, and take calculated risks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office products, intermediate Excel proficiency.
- No Canadian work experience required but must be eligible to work in Canada.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism required.
