About the role
The Infrastructure Specialist / Lead supports Group IT's Infrastructure Services team in ensuring the reliability, security, and operational readiness of enterprise infrastructure platforms across the Group. This role focuses on infrastructure operations, cybersecurity controls, service stability, and vendor management, while also supporting infrastructure solutioning and project delivery for corporate improvements and technology refresh initiatives.
Responsibilities
Infrastructure Operations & Service Stability
Support day‑to‑day operations across corporate infrastructure platforms including:
Network (LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi), Internet connectivity, segmentation
Servers/virtualization (on‑premise and cloud)
Identity & access (AD/Entra ), DNS/DHCP
Email & collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365)
Backup, recovery, storage and monitoring
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated infrastructure incidents with internal teams and vendors.
Perform system health checks and service reviews, driving continuous reliability improvements.
Maintain operational documentation such as runbooks, escalation procedures, and system references.
Cybersecurity, Governance & Resilience
Support infrastructure security controls including endpoint posture, firewall/access controls, vulnerability remediation, security logging/monitoring, and privileged access practices.
Contribute to patching, access reviews, change governance, and post‑incident corrective actions.
Support backup operations, recovery testing, and disaster recovery readiness.
Vendor / MSP Oversight & Project Support
Coordinate with vendors and managed service providers (MSPs) to ensure quality delivery and timely follow‑ups.
Support technical inputs for procurement, evaluation, and service acceptance activities.
Assist infrastructure solutioning and delivery support for corporate enhancements and technology refresh projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
3‑7 years of relevant experience in infrastructure operations, implementation, and/or support (level dependent).
Strong working knowledge in networking, servers, cloud, identity, Microsoft 365, backup/DR, monitoring, and security controls.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and infrastructure security practices is preferred.
Certifications are a plus: CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Security+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Azure certifications, security certifications (CCSP/GSEC).
Strong documentation, problem‑solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
