As a Service Desk Consultant, you will be responsible for providing first-level technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and delivering high-quality customer service within established service levels. Your work will directly support internal users and contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations.
- Pay Rate: $25-$30 per hour (flexible)
- Location: Calgary, AB - On-site
- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (1-year contract)
- Provide first-level investigation and diagnosis for hardware and software issues
- Log all incoming and outgoing user interactions into the call-management system
- Establish a course of action to resolve issues and provide clear information to users
- Install, move, or set up desktops, laptops, and peripherals, and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance
- Provide deskside support for issues that cannot be resolved via telephone or remote management
- Deliver high-quality customer service within established service levels
- Participate in the creation and ongoing maintenance of a technical knowledge base
- Perform other related activities and deliverables as required
- Respond to service desk tickets and troubleshoot technical issues
- Document incidents, resolutions, and follow-up actions accurately
- Support hardware deployments and workstation setups
- Escalate complex technical issues as appropriate
- Maintain compliance with IT service standards and security requirements
- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- University degree or college diploma in Information Technology
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience in an IT service desk operational environment
- Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated customer service experience
- Ability to complete the Secret clearance process
- Minimum of five (5) years of residential history in Canada
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated experience interacting with individuals at various levels within an organization
