Position: Senior Power BI Developer to develop reports and dashboards for a Retail division

Our large Oil & Gas industry client is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to develop reports and dashboards for a Retail division
.

This is an initial contract to the end of year with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based in Calgary and agreeable to working full-time onsite in the heart of downtown Calgary and provide their own laptop/device upon offer.

Must-Haves:

  • 7+ years' experience in Power BI reports and dashboard development
  • Strong expertise in SQL, DAX, and data modeling for multi-dimensional and tabular models
  • Proven experience creating dynamic, user-friendly dashboards and reports in Power BI Desktop (open to SSRS, Power BI Report Builder experience)
  • Familiarity with Databricks and Azure data workspace

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop.
  • Utilize SQL and DAX to build robust data models and deliver accurate insights.
  • Connect and integrate data from Databricks and other backend systems.
  • Optimize performance of Power BI datasets and reports for scalability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into impactful visualizations.
