ServiceNow Senior Developer

Description
We are looking for a  Service Now Developer with 3–5 or more years of hands‑on experience  to design, build, and support scalable solutions on the Service Now platform. This role focuses on configuration and custom development across multiple Service Now applications, working closely with platform owners, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, maintainable solutions.

The ideal person is technically strong, detail‑oriented, and experienced in translating business requirements into effective Service Now functionality.

What you’ll do:

Design, configure, and develop solutions on the Service Now platform

Build and maintain:

Business Rules

Script Includes

Client Scripts

UI Policies

Flow Designer workflows

Customize forms, lists, and UI actions following platform best practices

Develop and support integrations using REST and SOAP APIs

Additional responsibilities:

Participate in platform upgrades, patching, and testing activities

Troubleshoot and resolve application and platform issues

Optimize scripts and configurations for performance and scalability

Support deployments using update sets and application repositories

Work closely with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to refine requirements

Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and production releases

Document technical designs, configurations, and support procedures

At time act as the business analyst or business process consultant

Qualifications
You're the missing piece of the puzzle:

3–5+ years of hands‑on  Service Now development experience

Understanding of Service Now architecture and data model

Experience with Flow Designer and legacy workflow

Known for building and consuming REST/SOAP integrations

Knowledge of Service Now security model (roles, ACLs)

Service Now Certifications
Given the nature of the work and client groups, the following certifications are required:

Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD)

Mainline CIS Certifications (Certified Implementation Specialists) - (any 2 of ITSM, Data Foundations, ITOM, GRC/IRM, Sec Ops, VR)

Great to haves

Experience with one or more Service Now modules (e.g., ITOM, GRC, Sec Ops, ITSM, CSM, SPM)

Familiarity with ITIL processes

Experience in enterprise or consulting environments

Exposure to Service Now best practices and upgrade‑safe development

Please note that this work can be done from in or near any major centre across Canada. It is forecast to be up to 100% remote, with minimal, infrequent requirements to be in‑office.

Compensation
Salary Range: $82,000-$122,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12%
