QA Engineer

Job Title: QA Engineer

Location: Calgary (Day 1 onboarding onsite / in office presence 3x week)

Contract: 12 Month Contract

Experience Level: Level 2 (3-5 years of experience)

• Knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and product integration phases
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in mobile testing and API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured
• Experience devising test strategies, conducting and/or coordinating tests, and identifying defects to maintain high standards of performance and reliability
• Understanding of end-to-end quality and implementing testing strategies, automation frameworks, and best practices
• Experience working in an agile environment with scrum teams, using test management tools such as JIRA & XRAY
• Familiarity with use of LLMs and AI tools to build and determine test coverage concepts
• Hands‑on experience in Java Selenium for UI automation
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience

• Exposure to Atlassian tool sets:
  Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• Ability to collaborate in Agile environments, actively participating in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives

• Excellent communication and coordination skills, collaborating effectively with onshore and offshore teams
• Ability to work closely with developers, product, and business stakeholders to align testing efforts with project requirements
• Team orientation, delivering in a fast‑paced environment with short sprint cycles
• Continuous improvement mindset, identifying gaps and recommending automation where feasible
• Coordination of tool enhancement needs with infra/tools team
• Ability to communicate on the team's behalf to both technical and non‑technical audiences
