Key Duties Intranet Platform Support
- Champion Blu Earth’s intranet system (Simpplr), authoring content to support our team and brand and ensure employees are informed about what is happening across the business
- Seek continuous improvement on our intranet platform including providing training and support to team members, driving employee engagement, and providing analytics reporting
- Write and edit content for a variety of audiences and platforms including web, social and print
- Assist with the development and execution of our digital media strategy, including support for social media channel monitoring and reporting
- Support media relations by managing inbound inquiries and monitoring daily company and industry news.
- Support the management, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of Blu Earth’s external website
- Provide communications support for internal messaging, intranet articles, town hall presentations, and announcements
- Support the development of corporate and project-specific newsletters, brochures, presentations, and other visual materials, including accountability to ensure corporate presentation templates are current, accurate and functional
- Support the planning and delivery of activities related to Blu Earth’s community investment program.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or related field
- A minimum of three years of experience in a communications role
- Preference for experience in the energy, resource development, or related business sectors
- Experience with a modern social intranet would be considered an asset
- Strong understanding of social media platforms including analytics reporting
- Strong proficiency in Word and Power Point
- Intermediate level knowledge of Word Press and Adobe In Design
- Strong writing skills with the ability to write effectively for a wide range of mediums (internal, social media, website, print, etc.)
- Exceptional people and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think creatively and make the best use of technology available
- Highly motivated, action oriented, and results driven with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as good time management skills, with the ability to multi-task
- Results and detail oriented
