The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring high-quality software delivery by designing, executing, and maintaining effective test strategies and automation frameworks. This role works closely with development, product, and business teams in an Agile environment to validate functionality, performance, reliability, and end-to-end quality across applications, APIs, and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure high-quality software releases
- Define and implement end-to-end testing strategies, automation frameworks, and QA best practices
- Perform UI automation using Java Selenium and API testing using tools such as Postman and Rest Assured
- Execute mobile, system, integration, and regression testing across multiple platforms
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to align testing with requirements
- Identify, document, track, and validate defects to closure using test management tools
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality validation
- Ensure test coverage across system dependencies and product integration phases
- Leverage AI tools and LLM concepts to enhance test coverage and testing efficiency
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and automation opportunities
- Coordinate tool enhancement and infrastructure needs with infra/tools teams
- Communicate testing status, risks, and quality metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences
- 3+ years of experience in information technology or software development with a strong focus on QA and test automation
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and integration testing
- Hands-on experience with Java Selenium for UI automation
- Experience with API testing using Postman and Rest Assured
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and working with Scrum teams
- Experience using test and defect management tools such as JIRA and XRAY
- Familiarity with Atlassian toolsets including JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket
- Understanding of end-to-end quality assurance and test strategy implementation
- Exposure to using AI tools and LLM concepts for improving test coverage
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work with onshore and offshore teams
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment with short sprint cycles
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to coordinate and represent the QA team with technical and business stakeholders
