System Administrator

Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years of experience in a System Administrator role
• Bachelor degree or equivalent in computer science or a technology field
• Hands‑on expertise with Windows 2003, 2008 & 2012 operating systems
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO
• Windows Services Support including remote desktop services, clustering services and DFS
• Citrix CCA certification (or equivalent years of experience)
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2013
• Experience with VMware ESXi
• VCP nice to have
• Knowledge of mass storage platforms
• Capable of troubleshooting complex technical problems
• Ability to multi‑task and prioritize
• Work well under pressure in a busy environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Team player

• Provide administration, management, and support in a specialized area across multiple datacenters and lab/dev/test/prod environments (e.g., VMware – Support & Maintain VMware 5.X enterprise infrastructure; Microsoft Server – Support & Maintain Windows 2008/2012 Server and client infrastructure).
• Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
• Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
• Maintain data center environment and monitoring equipment.
• Provide technical support for system issues.
• Work with the ITSM Coordinator for notifications regarding system-wide outages.
