Recruiter, Talent Manager

About the Role

Matrix HR is hiring a full-cycle Recruiter to support and grow our construction and industrial staffing operations across Canada. This is a hands‑on agency role for someone who can manage requisitions end‑to‑end, work in a fast‑paced environment, and deliver results.

This role is not entry-level. You will be expected to recruit, not just screen.

• Manage full‑cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and placement
• Recruit for construction, industrial, and skilled trades roles (union and non‑union)
• Manage multiple active requisitions across different client accounts
• Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines
• Communicate directly with hiring managers and internal operations teams
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hiring requirements
• Maintain ATS records and follow Matrix HR recruiting processes

• Independently manage multiple concurrent requisitions
• Consistently meet hiring timelines and quality expectations
• Demonstrate accountability, organization, and follow‑through
• Support account stability and contribute beyond a single client or vertical

Required:

• 2–5 years of recruiting experience (agency experience strongly preferred)
• Experience recruiting construction, industrial, or skilled trades roles
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities independently

• Union environment experience
• Knowledge of Canadian employment and onboarding requirements
• ATS experience

• Established staffing firm with 23+ years in business
