We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our Corporate - HR & Payroll team in Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, the Talent Acquisition Advisor is a key partner in driving Northview's recruitment strategy across Canada. This role supports corporate and regional leaders through the full talent lifecycle, advising on hiring needs, developing innovative sourcing initiatives, advancing the company's employer brand, and ensuring an exceptional candidate and onboarding experience.
The Talent Acquisition Advisor contributes to broader HR initiatives that strengthen Northview's people practices and overall organizational effectiveness.
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Strategy
- Partner with leaders to understand workforce needs and provide expert guidance throughout the talent acquisition process.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, resume screening, interview participation, reference and background checks, and employment offer preparation.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies that support current and future talent needs.
- Create and maintain accurate job postings tailored to local market requirements.
- Prepare and analyze recruitment data and provide regular reporting, insights, and recommendations.
- Monitor internal and external career sites to ensure all postings are accurate and current.
- Prepare comprehensive recruitment files in accordance with audit requirements.
- Maintain awareness of labor market trends, unemployment rates, trades requirements, and competitive intelligence.
- Offer insight and recommendations to enhance Northview's employer brand and employee value proposition.
- Act as the subject matter expert on recruitment and hiring of foreign workers in compliance with current immigration rules.
Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Management
- Leverage ATS functionality to streamline processes and improve candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Support company-wide adoption of ATS tools, including providing user training, education, and troubleshooting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and system utilization.
Onboarding
- Support the onboarding and change process by preparing employment agreements and change letters and coordinating required documentation.
- Ensure timely communication with hiring manager, payroll and HR to facilitate smooth on-boarding processes.
- Maintain visibility into temporary workforce and contract end dates, ensuring adequate staffing and required follow-up actions.
HR Support & Collaboration
- Maintain organizational chart
- Provide back-up support to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner as required
- Build strong relationships across the business, maintaining a deep understanding of operations and emerging industry trends.
- Participate in other HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources with a minimum of 2 years of related recruitment experience.
- Experience in real estate/property management is considered an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience working with an applicant tracking system.
- Comfortable supporting multiple client groups with competing priorities, including remote teams in high-volume and fast-paced environments.
- Strong relationship-building, critical thinking, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong judgment and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
