What does this role look like?The CBE understands the future of work is flexible. In this role, you are eligible to participate in a flexible work program that allows you to work remotely for up to three days a week. A minimum of two days must be in the office. At certain times, you may be required to work in the office more than 2 days per week based on operational requirements.
Whatis the purpose of this role?
The purpose of this job is to provide a broad range of system support, research and analytical services to the Talent Management function and to other areas of the Human Resources as required. It is responsible for providing credible, accurate data for workforce reporting, Talent Acquisition Management (TAM) administration/reporting and employment data as input into employment decisions administrative and procedure development, business process design, workforce forecasting, collective bargaining reporting, and annual or on-request reviews of Talent Management for all employee groups.
Whatwill you do?
- Oversee system administration and reporting within Talent Acquisition Management (TAM), serve as a subject matter expert to Talent Management team.
- Participates in and/or coordinates internal and external employee recruitment to assess the CBE’s current workforce and forecast workforce needs.
- Extracts, analyses and reports data from and/or other CBE systems to meet the needs of Talent Management including trending, preparation of collective bargaining reporting and TAM system administration and reporting.
- Investigates, researches and compiles background and current information, statistics and forecasts for the preparation of briefs, reports, proposals and scenario building, related to HR program development, collective bargaining, settlements, grievances and arbitration hearings.
- Assists with communication of employee terms and conditions and/or resolution of issues/grievances.
- Summarizes data, prepares presentations, and generates reports (of data findings and conclusions). As appropriate, coordinates report requirements pertaining to outsourced services (TSSI).
- Participates in projects which impact the ability to produce or provide access to reliable employee data to ensure that the needs of Talent Management and its customers are considered (e.g. People Soft, portal, on base, data warehouse, Oracle, Smart Find Express).
- Coordinates the development and implementation of internal surveys, questionnaires, focus groups, etc. which serve to collect employee input to be used as data.
- Develops and maintains effective internal and external relationships to facilitate the exchange and receipt of external data and to remain abreast of current/emerging labour, and workforce trends. Ensures the effective knowledge transfer of such learning.
- Applies a general understanding of recruitment process including; employment standards, collective agreements and human rights legislation
- Assists with the CBE governance processes and methodologies including recruitment process, customer satisfaction and preparation of reports,
- Liaises with Finance and Business Services and other service units to ensure that staffing governance and processes are being coordinated correctly.
- Investigates, analyses and defines solutions for sensitive staffing concerns, either as assigned by Manager, Recruitment Support Staff or by outsourced provider.
- Participates in or serves as a resource to committees as required.
- Supports leadership roles in the preparation of formal reports and presentations.
- This role will also include developing automations for complex business processes, audits and workflows using R and People Soft Query.
- Performs other related responsibilities as assigned to meet goals and objectives of the Talent Management group.
Education and Experience
- University degree in Human Resources Management, Commerce or related discipline.
- An equivalent combination of directly related education and directly related experience may be considered.
