Adecco is currently seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join their team in Calgary, AB. This is permanent role with a competitive salary of $68-$70k per year. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for over 200 employees using Sparkrock 365 payroll system.

  • Pay Rate: $68,000-$70,000 per year
  • Location: Calgary, AB
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time
  • Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll processes using Sparkrock 365, including absence management and employee profile updates.
  • Process accurate and timely payroll for 200+ employees bi-weekly, balancing and reconciling payroll.
  • Prepare Records of Employment for terminated staff and maintain payroll records for T4 and T4A issuance.
  • Develop and update payroll-related templates and procedure manuals.
  • Administer employee benefits and manage annual benefits and salary changes.
  • Assist employees with payroll inquiries and troubleshoot payroll system issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee filing systems and records.
  • Collaborate with payroll system customer support to resolve system issues.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Requirements:
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Graduate of a relevant post-secondary course (Payroll/Accounting/HR).
  • PCP Certification with the Canadian Payroll Association is required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant payroll experience.
  • Experience with Sparkrock 365 payroll systems preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to pass criminal background check.
  • Due to close contact with vulnerable populations the successful candidate must be vaccinated against Covid-19.
